Over the past few years, I have personally learned how not being afraid to seize an opportunity can completely change your life! But let me start at the beginning…after spending more years at University than I care to count earning my MBA degree, my partner of 20+years and I settled down in southwest Florida (also known in the States as “paradise”) and enjoyed a great “lifestyle” for many years. But one day it dawned on us that, while our life looked great from the outside, our relationships weren’t where we wanted them to be. Long story short, we moved halfway around the world to begin the next stage of our lives together in a beautiful place that truly seems to value work/life balance and family. It has been one of the best things we’ve ever done as a family, and we would do it again in a heartbeat.
Why I’m sharing that with you is because in my work as a Business Coach and Strategist, I attempt to impress upon my clients that they should not be afraid to step out of their “comfort zones” and try something new or different in order to get a better result.
