The NZIPP Annual General Meeting, and New Zealand Photography Industry Evening were held in November 2025.
At the AGM, members voted to pass the new NZIPP Constitution, bringing the Institute into alignment with the requirements of the Incorporated Societies Act 2022. This represents a significant and necessary step forward in ensuring NZIPP’s governance framework remains robust, compliant, and fit for purpose.
We would like to acknowledge and sincerely thank Richard Linton and Jase Blair for their valuable support in assisting Sarah McGregor with the development of the updated Constitution. We also extend our appreciation to the members who took the time to review the draft and provide constructive feedback, as well as Lane Neave, NZIPP’s legal advisers, for their expertise in ensuring the Constitution met the new legislative requirements.
Following the formal AGM proceedings, members moved through to the New Zealand Photography Industry Evening, which proved to be a lively and well-attended event. The evening featured presentations from wedding photographer Eilish Burt and 2025 NZ Professional Photographer of the Year, Sarah McGregor, and was hosted at Narrative AI.
The event provided a fantastic opportunity for members to reconnect, meet new faces, and engage with the wider photography community, while also exploring equipment and services showcased by our generous sponsors.
