Bringing Conceptual Images to Life with Sarah McGregor

Join us for an inspiring NZIPP Wellington event featuring 2025 New Zealand Professional Photographer of the Year, Sarah McGregor (Minime Photography).
In this session, Sarah will explore how seemingly ordinary photographs can be transformed into powerful, emotive conceptual works. Known for her imaginative storytelling and distinctive creative style, Sarah will break down the thinking, planning, and problem-solving behind some of her most recognised images—demonstrating that impactful concepts do not rely on large teams or elaborate productions, but on vision, intent, and creative courage.
The afternoon will conclude with a step-by-step creative editing walkthrough, where Sarah will demonstrate how she builds atmosphere, depth, and narrative through her editing process, offering practical insights photographers can apply to their own work.
This session is ideal for photographers looking to push beyond technical execution and develop stronger creative intent, conceptual confidence, and visual storytelling.
Doors open at 1:30pm, Sarah will start her presentation at 2pm.
Tea/coffee will be provided with some treats to nibble on!
