My work has always lived somewhere between what is seen and what is felt.
In my moving landscapes, I’m not chasing a perfect view. I’m drawn to the in-between moments… where memory softens the edges, where time stretches, where a place becomes something internal. These images are not about geography. They are about emotion, about presence, about the quiet imprint a landscape leaves within us.
Alongside that, my work with wood and clay grounds me in a different, yet deeply connected way. These materials arrive with their own histories. Grain, cracks, textures, imperfections… they are not flaws to be corrected, but stories to be listened to. Through carving, charring, shaping, and sometimes simply stepping back, I let the material guide me as much as I guide it.
I am a professional photographer, but I never wanted to stay within one frame. Exploring other mediums became a way of understanding myself more fully… of giving space to curiosity, to instinct, to play.
Somewhere between these practices, I found something essential.
A sense of self that is not fixed, but evolving.
And that journey… that searching… is just as important as the outcome.
I believe it is vital to stay true to yourself, even when it feels uncertain. To allow yourself to wander, to question, to try, to fail, to begin again. There is courage in following what quietly calls you, even when it doesn’t make immediate sense.
It is more than okay to do what you love.
It is necessary.
Because when we create from that place, from something real and deeply felt, we begin to speak a language that goes beyond technique or genre. A human language. One built on emotion, on memory, on shared experience.
And people recognise that.
They don’t just see the work.
They feel it.
Over time, I’ve come to understand that the work created from the heart is the work that connects the strongest. It builds genuine relationships, opens doors, and creates opportunities in ways that feel natural rather than forced.
In a world that often feels fast, filtered, and disconnected, that kind of honest connection matters more than ever.
So if there is something within you that is asking to be explored… follow it.
Not because it is easy.
But because it is true.
And in that truth, you will not only find your own voice,
but you will also find your people.
